Invicta Loyal R.S.C

The first Invicta Loyal RSC Challenge Cup was played on Saturday 26th May at the Powerleague Centre, Mill Hill. The Trophy was contested between four teams:

  

Invicta Loyal, Orange Kits (Captained by Big Chris)

 Invicta 1690, Blue Kits (Captained by Si)

 

Ulster Scots, White Kits (Captained by Big F)

Britannia Loyal, Red Kits (Captained by Dal) 

Matches were 6 minutes each way with 2 rolling subs (these came in very useful to all teams!!). Each team had a famous footballing legend playing alongside them. Luckily enough we managed to get the Great "Choir Master" Graham Roberts to attend to add that little bit of Bluenose spice. Other legends playing were Micky Hazard, Kerry Dixon & Andy King. All true gents and committed to the day - takles & jokes were flying!!

After a very enjoyable days play, the Invicta Loyal team ended up as champions, beating the Ulster Scots in the final by a flattering 5-0 margin. The winners were captained by Big Chris (who astonishingly also finished top goalscorer - some amazing goal hanging, the likes we've not seen for years!!!)

There was also a "one touch & shoot" competition which all players participated in - played just before the final. This was won by Britannia Loyal (who we also need to mention did not win a game all day........in fact, I'm not sure if they even scored a goal apart from in the above competition??!!!)
